Amit Breuer - Amythos Films - Xenophile Media (Toronto, Canada)

Israeli-Canadian award-winning documentary producer, Amit Breuer has been creating successful documentaries for the international market since 1992. Among her renown works are: The Specialist, Purity, Junction, Sentenced to Marriage and Checkpoint. She was a commissioning editor for 4 years with Noga Communications' Doc Channel, and is currently continuing to produce films for traditional and new media and serves as jury member programmer/consultant for festivals and industry events around the world.

Cameron Hickey - Pattern Films (N.Y, U.S.A.)

Founder of Pattern Films, code-meister and creator of the docsite.org toolset for documentary filmmakers. Previously, Cameron developed animations for numerous documentary films including Godfrey Reggio's Naqoyqatsi and Steven Cantor's Crossover. He also created web applications for many documentary films as well as the Sheffield Documentary Festival. His own films, Garlic and Watermelons and The Alphabet Book played at numerous international festivals.

Nikki Nime - Researcher (London, UK)

Nikki Nime is a PhD student in Media Arts at Royal Holloway, University of London. To support her thesis entitled “The Impact of Technology on Documentary Distribution,” Nikki has integrated her academic research into the distribution arm of the DocAgora WebPlex. Prior to beginning her studies, Nikki freelanced in the Hollywood film industry. She became interested in documentary distribution while working with strategist Peter Broderick (www.peterbroderick.com) and went on to help the indie-friendly Breakthrough Distribution (www.breakd.com) develop in its early years. Now based in London, Nikki writes articles for Power to the Pixel (www.powertothepixel.com) and plans to finish her doctorate degree by 2011.

Neil Sieling - Expert (N.Y., U.S.A.)

Neil Sieling is a New Media Fellow at the Center for Social Media at American University (http://www.centerforsocialmedia.org/). He is a media arts curator, television producer, and media systems architect. He helped launch Link TV (www.linktv.org/), and is the former Executive Producer of ALIVE TV (Alive from Off Center), the experimental arts series broadcast on PBS. He also worked with The Rockefeller and Ford Foundations, as well as George Soros' Open Society Institute on mapping new public media, potential delivery venues, and financial resources. He has consulted with The Independent Television Service, the POV series on PBS, and has written extensively on television and new media.

Peter Wintonick - Necessary Illusions - Eyesteel Films (Montreal, Canada)

Documentary film, TV and nowmedia producer, director, writer/lecturer, festival consultant and critic. A career spanning 33 years and dozens of films, in various roles : Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky and the Media; Seeing is Believing; Cinema Verité; pilgrIMAGE; Second Sight; Be Like Others; H.O.P.E., Dark Fibre). Recipient of multiple film awards, the Premier's Prize and is Governor General's Laureate in Media Arts. As Thinker in Residence, he wrote recommendations on Media Literacy, Film Policy, Community and Aboriginal Media for the Premier of South Australia. He is international editor of POV, writes for many publications. He organizes international conferences and workshops and is board-member of DOC.
