TERMS OF SERVICE
It is Docagora’s intention for the WebPlex to present the best quantity and quality of information, analysis, and commentary from and for the docmedia field. We intend for the WebPlex to be a proactive contribution to the docmedia field, and one that is grounded in mutual respect for the talents and efforts of others.

Docagora intends to be a neutral party with regard to the primary data posted on the WebPlex, as well as with opinions posted by others. The WebPlex will have the records of a large number of organizations and activities, and we will let the public, and those organizations, update the profile information and also to comment on them.

To that end, we present the following Terms of Service and general rules of the road.

These terms of service will be developed over time, in collaboration with the docmedia community in order to best protect the rights of all users of the DocAgora WebPlex and the creators of this system.

Please help maintain the integrity of the Docagora WebPlex

We have worked hard to create a collaboratively filtered space that will help develop a rich knowledge base for the documedia field. It will only work if the creators of the WebPlex and its users and other participants are honest and forthright in their efforts in the WebPlex space. A key motivation for creating the WebPlex was to have a space with the highest possible integrity for a docmedia field that is committed to truth, justice, and public purpose.

Please respect other participants in the Docagora WebPlex

While participants in the WebPlex will certainly disagree, and we also encourage a range of ideas and opinions on the docmedia field, please know that users should not post anything on the WebPlex that contains any offensive language or anything that could be considered by to be obscene, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful.

Please respect the copyrights of others.

The Docagora WebPlex respects the intellectual property of others, while affirming the value of a Fair Use position with regard to content, along with the basic tenets of the Creative Commons.

The Docagora WebPlex will contain some copyrighted material that will come from information from the companies that are profiled on the WebPlex, and the copyright for these materials need to be respected.

In addition, the blogs and other commentaries of the Docagora organizers of the WebPlex will also be copyrighted under a Creative Commons license.
